Rhymin and Stealin

The Baker

The Baker knows
what others do not.
As he stirs his delicious batter, he thinks
About how the smallest mistake in the ingredients
Will so dramatically alter the finished product.
He keeps stirring the batter.
He thinks
And still allows some stirring within.

last line from "Year's End" by Richard Wilbur (c) 1950

I really liked how you ended this poem. It, for me, was unexpected and made the poem overall more interesting. I also liked your line breaks and the rhythm that was the result of it.
